(a). Engr. Abul KM Shamsuddin worked as First Managing Director, Pashchimanchal Gas Co Ltd (PGCL), a company of PETROBANGLA, Sirajganj, Bangladesh, from 2001 to 2004.
(b). Natural Gas Goes to Pabna Town on 10th July 2001.

• Engr. Abul KM Shamsuddin worked as first Managing Director of Pashchimanchal Gas Co. Ltd. (PGCL), a unit of Bangladesh Oil, Gas & Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla) in Nalka, Sirajganj, Bangladesh from 2001 to 2004.
• Engr. Shamsuddin was responsible for overall development, operation & maintenance of Pashchimanchal Gas Co Ltd for supply & market natural gas in the western region of Bangladesh.
• He also conducted Initial Environment Examination (IEE) & Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of 85 km long 8-inch diameter Baghabari-Ishwardi Gas Pipeline from Baghabari to Ishwardi during 2000-2001.
• Natural Gas Supply to Pabna Town was commenced from July 10, 2001 during tenure of Engr. Abul KM Shamsuddin as M. D. PGCL.
• Natural Gas Goes to Pabna on 10th July 2001. 
• Janab Abdus Samad Azad, the then Foreign Minister of Bangladesh inaugurated the gas supply. 
• The ceremony was attended by the then Home Minister Janab Mohammad Nasim, the then State Minister for Information Janab Abu Sayeed, the then State Minister of Energy Janab Rafiqul Islam, Petrobangla Chairman Janab Hossain Mansur, Janab Md. Mosharraf Hossain, the then Chairman, Board of Directors, Pashchimanchal Gas (PGCL).
• Janab Asaduzzaman Noor (former Minister for Cultural Affairs) also attended the inaugural function as Distinguished Personality from Cultural Society along with Janab Alamgir – a reputed film actor. 
• Engr Abul KM Shamsuddin, the then Managing Director, Pashchimanchal Gas Co Ltd (PGCL) was the host of the function and delivered the Address of Welcome to the distinguished guests.
