Venue: Seminar Room, Centre for Advanced Research in Sciences (CARS), University of Dhaka.

  3. Open-up Coal Deposit – Reserve Estimation, Mining Area, Life of Mine; Minerals Resources Assessment Bangladesh; 
  4. Basics of Underground & Open-Pit Mining Method; Details of UG Min Method; 
  5. UG & Surface Mining Layout; 
  6. Ventilation System Analysis and Ventilation Planning;
  7. Mining Equipment Selection; 
  8. Ore Reserve Evaluation and Open-Pit Planning;
  9. Economic Modeling & Mine Plan Techniques; 
  10. Development of Hard Rock, Lime Stone, CBM, UCG; 
  11. Hard Rock Mining Method and Development; 
  12. Coal Mine Environment & Social Issues.
  • 5-day training course was concluded on 23rd April 2015. 
  • Dr. Quamruzzaman Chowdhury, Professor, Department of Geology, Dhaka University, also conducted courses on Rock Mechanics, Mine Risk & Hazards. 
  • Dr. A. S. M. Woobaidullah, Professor, Department of Geology, Dhaka University distributed the certificates at the end of the seminar. 
  • Mr. Amirul Islam, Asstt. Professor, Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET) coordinated the courses.
