- Engr. Abul KM Shamsuddin, the then Sr. General Manager, Petroleum Concession Division (PCD), Petrobangla, undertook ALERT COMBINED OFFSHORE SAFETY & SURVIVAI Training in Singapore Off-Shore in October 1999 in order to supervise Exploration Drilling Works of International Oil Companies (IOC) working in Bangladesh off-shore blocks under Production Sharing Contract (PSC).
- Another 6-officials of PCD Petrobangla also undertook the training in Singapore off-shore in October 1999.
- The training subjects were: (a). Personal Survival Techniques, (b). Emergency First Aid / CPR, ©. Breathing Apparatus & H2S Awareness, (d). Hand Portable Extinguisher Firefighting, (e). Helicopter Underwater Escape Training. It was 7-days training in Singapore off-shore.
